*****UPDATE: This event is postponed until further notice. Instead, please join us on Feb. 18th for an Unplugged session featuring fun games for the family*****

Rev. Hope (Hopie) Welles Jernagan will visit St. Luke’s Episcopal Church on Sunday, February 18, 2018. Third Sundays Unplugged is a new ministry at St. Luke’s that invites all, regardless of faith or spiritual background, to strengthen community by engaging with one another in real life, as human beings and not as digital beings. Rev. Dayna Jewson Joins St. Luke’s Episcopal Church

We are excited to welcome a new face to the St. Luke’s family! Reverend Dayna Jewson will join our church family and serve as Deacon starting this Sunday, June 30th at 10:00AM.

A “cradle” Episcopalian, she was born and raised in Southern California. After high school and a move to Missouri, she was educated at St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing and Webster University, graduating in 1983. Most of her thirty-seven years in the healthcare industry have been spent as a registered nurse in the hospice care venue. In 2000, after discerning a call to the diaconate, she began the process towards ordination in the Diocese of West Missouri, and was ordained in 2004. She has served three churches, the last being St. Paul’s Church, Carondelet. She is married to Fr. Al Jewson, who does interim ministry in the Diocese of Missouri. She is the mother of two, grandmother of five. She brings a bivocational ministry to the Church; serving alongside others to reach the marginalized, the sick, and those who grieve.

Please join us this Sunday to welcome Deacon Dayna to St. Luke’s.
