Energetic Sunday school classes for children and teens (ages 3-18) plant seeds of faith every week, which will grow strong in the years to come.
Led by a dedicated group of Sunday school teachers and clergy, young people at St. Luke’s are encouraged to discover their place in life and in the life of the parish by stepping out to develop their skills and spiritual gifts. Most importantly, our teachers take a loving approach to introducing Christ to the youth and making sure faith in Christ is the cornerstone of all aspects of a healthy life.
The Youth Group has been a steady force at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church for many years, and provides a healthy glimpse of the future of St. Luke’s. Our youth program encourages children and teens to be role model members in the St. Luke’s and greater Christian community. Volunteer opportunities like “Feed My Starving Children,” and St. Luke’s programs such as our Acolyte service and Praise Ensemble offer them a chance to shine as leaders in performing the Lord’s work and in worship, despite their age.
Multiple events and opportunities throughout the year, such as the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and the annual Youthquake trip allow our youth members a chance to meet others who share their faith, to support one another, and to strengthen their relationship with Christ.
This group also has the important role of serving as mentors to the younger group of children, who will one day play their own roles as Youth Group members. The excitement and dedication of St. Luke’s youth is a testament to their faith and love for Christ, and we are proud of our Youth Group program.
A nursery program is available to parents during our 10:00AM service. Run by a caring team of volunteers, you can rest assured your little ones are safe, happy and cared for in a loving environment while you attend service.
